Please   stop   by   the   table   in   the   hallway   to   purchase   or   pay   on   your   tickets. Tickets are $65. The   Brothers   of   Theta   Omicron   Chapter   of   Omega   Psi   Phi Fraternity    believe   that   providing   community   service   is   a   lifetime journey.   That   is   why   we   would   like   to   invite   the   members   of   this congregation   to   our   Annual   the   Achievement   Week   Activities,   Friday, November    9th    through    Saturday,    November    17th,    Our    scheduled activities    are    focused    on    sharing    and    discussing    issues    that    are important to our community: Health - Education - Social issues The   activities   will   begin   a   concert   by   the   Omega   Select   Chorus   on November   9th   at   Baber A.M.E .   Church   with   daily   activities   concluding on   Saturday,   November   17   with   the   recognition   of   Theta   Omicron Brothers   and   a   local   citizen    that   has   contributed   exemplary   services to   the   Rochester   community   in   the   past   12   months. A   list   of   the   week- long   activities   is   available.   If   you   have   any   question   please   contact Bro. Robert Mitchell, James Norman or Larry Pough for details. 12th   Grade   Program:   Mount   Olivet   sponsors   a   program   designed especially   for   12th   graders.   The   purpose   is   for   spiritual   growth;   to gain   crucial   knowledge   which   will   assist   with   life   situations;   and   to enjoy   fellowship   with   other   high   school   seniors.   An   overview   has been    planned    for    students    and    their    parents.    On    2nd    Sunday, November    11th,     immediately    after    church    service,    remain    in    the sanctuary   for   a   brief   meeting   regarding   the   details   and   rewards   for participation.   Gather   up   front   by   the   organ.   For   questions,   contact Rae Carson, 328-7528 or rcarson150@gmail.com . Nominating   Committee   Update:   It   is   that   time   of   year   again   to consider   taking   on   a   leadership   role   within   the   church.   There   are many   opportunities   for   you   to   serve.   Names   can   be   submitted   for   any position.   The   nominating   committee   will   review   the   names   submitted in   order   to   prepare   a   slate   of   officers   prior   to   the   December   Business meeting.   If   you   are   interested   or   want   to   submit   someone’s   name please    give    the    information    to    Dr.    Venessa    Mitchell    or    Ms.    Clara Hunter,    Co-Chairs    or    any    member    of    the    nominating    committee. Youth Quake Volunteer Recruitment Proverbs 22:6 says: "Teach a child about the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it" The Youth Ministry is in need of adults to lead sections of Youth Quake Children's Church for the 2019 Spring and Winter sessions. Youth Quake meets every 2nd and 4th Sunday for children grades K-12. Lessons are prepared for all volunteers, therefore your energy and willingness to serve are the only pre-requisites. On December 2nd a table will be available in the Fellowship Hall for you to sign-up to teach on a 2nd Sunday, a 4th Sunday, or both in 2019.
