"In
all thy ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy Path."
Proverbs

We, the Mt. Olivet
Baptist Church, as the oldest historically African American Baptist church in
Rochester, New York, believe that we are called to be a Christ-Centered,
Bible-Based, Spirit-Led, and Mission-Bound Church that addresses the need of the
total person through liberating worship, life transforming Christian education,
progressive and timely ministries focused on effective social activism.
We, the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, are seeking a pastor who exemplifies the
scriptural reference for a Christian leader.
“The Spirit of the lord is upon
me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he
hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the
captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty
those who are oppressed, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke
4:18-19

Now may the God
of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd
of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete
in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His
sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
