There are Billions of dollars of money for college is out there... you just have to find it!  As you search for college scholarships, make it a priority to look for Grants as well. 

Many scholarships and grants are designated for students who attend a particular school or live in a particular area, so it's important that you contact your high school, college, local Chamber of Commerce, and local minority organizations to find out what opportunities are available for you.

Here's a glimpse at some of the major scholarship and grant opportunities that are available.

Thurgood Marshall College Fund, The 2010 Sidney B. Williams, Jr. Intellectual Property Law School Scholarship - Sponsored by the American Intellectual Property Law Education Foundation, this scholarship addresses the need to increase the number of the minority intellectual property attorneys and to bring these attorneys to the attention of firms and corporations as candidates for employment. The $10,000 Law Scholarship will be awarded to minority students developing a career in intellectual property law or holding a past or present, full or part-time position in an area related to intellectual property law. Harvard University, No Tuition Program - Harvard recently announced that undergraduate students from low-income families will pay NO tuition. Florida A & M University Women In Computer Science Scholarships - FAMU is providing an outstanding opportunity for Black women entering college in the fall. The Program is entitled, African-Americans Women in Computer Science, AAWCS.  It is designed to address their absence in the field of computer technology.  Dr. Jason Black is the Principal Investigator of a recently awarded $552,000 NSF Grant entitled African-American Women in Computer Science.   AAWCS details    Financial Aid

Nursing Program, Free Tuition - The University of the District of Columbia (UDC) is offering FREE tuition, FREE books, a $250 monthly stipend, and guaranteed job placement as a nurse at Providence Hospital upon graduation with a starting salary of $40,000.
