Description and Biography

The Mount Olivet Baptist Church - Wings of Glory Liturgical Dance Group, lead by Director Denette Mitchell-Perez, consists of faithful, talented children ranging in ages from 5 to 11 years old. 

The group was formed in 2006 and has grown to 14 members.  The ministry provides a faith based approach to teaching children how to express their love for the LORD through music and dance.  Their style of dance includes ballet, jazz, African and acrobatic movements choreographed to traditional and modern gospel music. 

The group has performed for various churches and events including the American Baptist Women's  Conference, Clarissa Street Reunion, Women’s Interfaith Tea as well as for activities at their home church.  The name 'Wings of Glory', was derived from the children's resemblance to angels when they express their GLORY to GOD through dance.
